I live and work in Regional NSW.  I started out my career as a Visual Arts teacher/ lecturer at NSW TAFE for 8 years before moving into the gallery sector where I worked across a range of positions at 3 Regional Galleries and 3 Commercial Galleries in NSW and ACT. I hold a Diploma of Visual Arts (TAFE), a Graduate Diploma in Art History and Curating (ANU), and a Diploma of Management (UNEP), Cert IV in Training Assessment and Education (TCC) and I am a registered Art Valuer under the Australian Governments Cultural Gifts Program.

I am interested in the subtle beauty that emerges from the interaction between materials, form, and space.

I adopt the less is more approach in my work by applying restraint and maintaining  clarity and order, avoiding what is not necessary. Eliminating what doesn’t matter to leave room for what does. Creating understated beauty which draws you in to take in every mark and detail.

According to Zen philosophy, it is in the state of active calm, tranquillity and solitude, that we find the essence of creative energy.
